Spring Sale at June's New to You Market

This year’s Spring Market is scheduled the same Saturday as the New to You Market is open (and to avoid saying the word Market over and over in all the advertising, we have rebranded as a “Spring Sale with Guest Vendors”). We are hoping for a fun, festive environment that is a little bit Spring Market and a little bit Garage Sale. This event is our most significant fundraiser in the first half of the year. We hope to have broad involvement from the parish.

Here’s how you can help:

Commit to a volunteer time: We will need strong bodies to help with set up and take down (tents, tables, chairs, etc). We will need volunteers to work tables of our own goods (homebaking, crafts, and a New to You treasures table). We will need volunteers to take on a refreshments table (we did hotdogs last year). We will need some traffic directors and welcomers. Please see Janet or Val to commit to a task.

Bake or Craft: The craft table and bake table both need donations. See Val if you want to discuss your specialities.

Promote: Flyers about the event are available from the Church Office. Perhaps there’s a community board in your building? Perhaps you frequent a coffee shop with a community board? Check out our ads in the What’s On Burnaby free magazine on page 29 or on their website. If you have some creative energy, we have the physical sign which could be hung on the signboard at the corner of North Road and Cameron, but it needs work. Please see Pastor Ruth.
