These last days of Jesus’ earthly ministry are theologically dense and confusing – just as they must have been for the first disciples. Who is Jesus, really? What do these events mean about the nature of God and suffering and love and power? There’s a reason why we tell this story over and over, year after year. The story keeps reveling things to us, keeps inviting us to know Jesus more deeply, keeps inviting us to know ourselves more deeply.
