Extraordinary Vestry Meeting on Sunday, June 1, 2025 following worship at approximately 11:20 am in the Parish Hall at 9887 Cameron Street, Burnaby, BC.
The agenda at this meeting is to look at the plan for sharing clergy with St Timothy’s that we anticipate starting in August 2025.
WHAT IS A VESTRY MEETING?
It is a meeting of all members of an Anglican Parish to make decisions regarding the life and ministry of the Parish. There must be one Vestry Meeting a year but may be more.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Anyone!
WHO CAN VOTE?
All baptized persons, aged 15 or older, who are “accustomed worshippers” and have been on the Parish List since March 1, 2025. Being on the Parish List means that you have identified yourself to the Parish Office as intending St Stephen’s to be your church. You can only be on the Parish List of one Anglican Parish at a time. Please see Pastor Ruth if you are unsure if you are eligible to vote.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO TALK ABOUT?
At this Extraordinary Vestry we will:
Debate a motion to affirm our intention to share clergy with St Timothy starting in August 2025.
A copy of the motion is available for pick up at worship on Sunday, May 25.
The motion includes a plan for how Sunday worship will be impacted
We will also speak about how this will impact our financial situation.
