This year for the days between the Feast of the Ascension (May 29) and Pentecost (June 8), you are invited to pray along with Christians globally reflecting on the Lord’s Prayer and the Christian hope for people to come to know Jesus. Each day, you are invited to pray the Lord’s Prayer and engage with a devotional resource. The resources ask you to consider five people you hope would come to know Jesus – this might be someone you hope has a full faith transformation or it might be someone you hope deepens their faith in some way. One of your five can be you! The resources for this week are available from Pastor Ruth (and online: https://www.thykingdomcome.global) and can be useful in practicing the act of daily prayer, practicing praying for another person, and reflecting on a prayer many of us learn by heart but don’t always pay close attention to.
Pastor Ruth will offer an hour of teaching, reflection, and Q&A on the Lord’s Prayer twice on Thursday, May 29th – in-person in the Worship Space at 1:30 pm and by Zoom at 7:30 pm. Please let her know if you plan to attend.
