St Stephen’s aims to provide a welcoming and safe space for a wide variety of groups to meet. Nearly 700 people come through the building each week for support groups, music classes, exercise classes, worship groups, and food security programs. Ten years ago, we committed to providing an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in the Parish Hall. These machines are easy-to-use devices that can save a person’s life during sudden cardiac arrest.

Earlier this year our AED came to the end of its lifespan and had to be replaced. The total cost for this machine and its battery is $2400. We are appealing to all our user groups through their leaders, and directly via posters in the Parish Hall, to raise half that cost: $1200 through a campaign we’re calling “Loonie for Life.” If every individual who comes through the Parish Hall contributes $1, we would be well on our way to this goal.

Donations can be made by cash, online, or by e-transfer.

See information onsite about cash and e-transfer donations or contact the Church Office. Donations over $20 can be acknowledged with a tax receipt when your name & mailing address are provided with the donation.
